Solo Trip – Tuesday – Day 4

Today I had a late start and went to Animal Kingdom, the weather was much better with the sun shining through the blue sky with only a few clouds around, a little bit humid but that’s to be expected.

My first stop was to watch Festival of the Lion King, as always it did not fail to impress.

After this I had a leisurely walk around Animal Kingdom and the multitude of shops.

The time then arrived for my FastPass on Avatar Flight of Passage, one word, stunning. This is definitely a ride that is worth waiting for, thankfully I had a short wait as I had a FastPass, otherwise it would have been a 2 hour wait.

As I came out the sky had gone dark as we were due some rain, within 5 minutes the heavy downpours were upon us, at this time I ran into the nearest shop to shelter from the rain. Once the rain had stopped I headed back to my hotel for something to eat and to relax for a bit.

My food choice tonight was Fried Chicken with waffle fries, not the best meal I’ve had so far but filling anyway.

Later on I headed back to Animal Kingdom for the 22:30 showing of Rivers of Light, minus the camera this time. I was extremely lucky as I had a whole bus to myself on the way back to Animal Kingdom, no standing for me this time.

On arrival I headed straight over to Expedition Everest for a late night ride, I feel this is the best time as once it’s dark you get some incredible views over the park with everything lit up and on this occasion I thought it was faster at night compared to in the day and I went straight through the normal queue with no waiting at all, even got a cart on the second row just for myself.

The 22:30 showing was just as good as my previous show, very entertaining.
